Bishop to d5 pins the pawn and allows for RXh6#. I think there are answers for all white responses.. Taking the bishop initially is something I would do even if I hadn't been able to calculate it fully.
Well, yeah, I mean, it's a forced Checkmate. That's why I said White should resign.
You mean that after this move your more highly rated opponent didn't resign?
Sheesh. What an insult. I'd checkmate him so fast after this it would make his head spin around like Linda Blair's. . .his hand would barely be off his piece before I would be moving my piece in place and slapping the clock. . .
Ok. One version of the line goes something like:
1... Qxg3 2. e5 Rh6
On move 3 any number of weak moves by White can be played. If :
3. h3 Bxh3 4. [insert weak White move here] Kh8 5 [insert weak White move here] Bxg2+ 6. Kg1 Rh1#
I mean, there are lots of variants so I won't do them all, but it's a forced mate.

I think I got this one....White plays e5.
I think its Blacks move right?Queen to g3 and if pXg3 rook moves to mate.
Takchess is right. It's black's moves as White has played 26. Bd3.
Ok, Takchess, 1. ... Qxg3, but White plays 2. e5. What's next?
CD,
If 1...Qxg3 2.e5 Qxe5
Black wins the Bishop and a pawn.
Jim, there's an even better move here!
okay.. Rh6
BXh7+ kh8
white move than Qh2 mate
Takchess,
1. ... Qxg3
2. e5 Rh6
3. Bxh7+ Kh8 (3. ... Rxh7?! 4. Qxh7+! followed by 5. hxg3)
4. h3
Now, what's next?
I'll look again in the am i think it's RXh3
pXh3 Qh3
Qh2 QXf1 check ?
Rxh3 wins, too, but I was able to find an even faster win with a different move.
Arg, I stopped on 1. ... Qxg3.
That's quite a long calculation there!

Bd5 would result in cxd5. You're on the right track, though!
Ok, I figured it out.
1... Qxg3 2. e5 Rh6
White should resign after this.
LOL!
But there's a checkmate in them thar hills! The game ended in checkmate! My opp was not about to resign a game to someone 325 points lower rated!!
Ok, here's a hint:
The ending involved a discovery AND a double attack
is there a Bishop to G1 in there?

Exactly! The game actually ended this way:
29. ... Qxg3
30. e5 Rh6
31. Bxh7+ Kh8
32. h3 Bxh3
33. Rd3 Bxg2#
Nice attack CD. The position looks like something right out of a mate problems book.
PS
What's even nicer, Pawn Sensei, is that it's usually he that out-tactics me during a game!
so, I guess it's not e5, LOL
