Tournament This Weekend
I'll be playing in a 4 round Swiss, g/70 tournament this weekend at State Farm's headquarters in Bloomington, IL. I need to make sure I get plenty of rest. It seems that lately I've been slumping, so that usually means I've gotten lazy with my thought process. I need to straighten that out over the course of this week. I'll post my games and analysis sometime on Sunday.

Not that strong, Jens. It will probably have maybe 20-25 players.
Occasionally, a master will show up at a tournament this size. There will probably be 2-3 Experts, 2-3 Class A, 4-5 Class B, 4-5 Class C, and the rest Class D and below.
Good luck! My tournament is also this week Saturday. It's only a minor one. Last one they had only 7 participants and the highest rated player was the only Class C. Chess isn't popular here.

Good luck! Hope you will get some patterns familiar from the puzzles for tactical wins. Just tell us more about that.
